Igor Bocharnikov

Igor Bocharnikov (2nd of March 1941, Riga, Latvian SSR – 18th of March 2010, Riga, Republic of Latvia) – a pianist and an accompanist.

Igor Bocharnikov was adopted by Riga citizen A. Rott who gave him good education and taught music in famous musical schools named after J. Mediņš and E. Darziņš.

I.Bocharnikov continued his education at the Gnessins Institute in Moscow. In 1970s he worked as a concertmaster in the ballet troop of the Latvian Opera and Ballet Theatre. He was the perfect accopanist who was also working at the Latvian Conservator. He was especialy skillful as a piano player for singers.
