Nina Bogolyubova
Nina Bogolyubova (27th of November 1925, Rezekne, Republic of Latvia – 3rd of March 2013, Riga, Republic of Latvia) – Doctor of Philology, assistant professor of the Department of Russian Language, the Faculty of Philology of the Latvian State University.
Nina Bogolyubova studied in Abrene gymnasium (now - Pytalovo) and at the Faculty of Philology of the Latvian State University. After graduation in 1948 she was granted the qualification of a philologist.
From 1950 to 1952 she had been doing a post graduate course at the Latvian State Pedagogical Institute specializing in «Comparative Grammar of Latvian and Russian languages» and defended the candidate thesis. Her scientific supervisor was professor J. Endzelīns.
N. Bogolyubova was working at the Latvian State Pedagogical Institute where she taught linguistic sciences, then at the University of Latvia. She is the author of over 20 scientific works on comparative grammar of Russian and Latvian languages.
