Yelena Bessudnova

Elena Bessudnova (15th of January 1984, Sebezh, Pskov Oblast, Russian SFSR) – a ballerina, a soloist of the Latvian National Opera.

Elena Bessudnova is a graduate of the Riga Choreography School. She studied ballet under such renowned ballet teachers as Regina Kaupuža, Maruta Grosberga, and Zane Lieldidža-Kolbina.

While still a student at the Riga Choreography School, the young ballerina began performing on the stage of the Latvian National Opera and Ballet.

one of the Big Swans (in Swan Lake by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, 2003);

an Odalisque, soloist in the Tambourine Dance (in Le Corsaire by Adolphe Charles Adam, 2003, 2007);

soloist in the dance with Sancho Panza (in Don Quixote by Ludwig Minkus, 2002);

one of the sisters (in Cinderella by Oleg Khodosko, 2006);

one of the aristocrats (in Dangerous Liaisons by Arturs Maskats, 2006);

Zirconia (in the ballet production Semiprecious Stones, set to music by Henri Litolff, 2007);

the doll Coppélia (in Coppélia by Léo Delibes, 2009);

a solo role (in the ballet production Messiah, set to music from the oratorio of the same name by George Frideric Handel, 2013);

a solo role (in the ballet production Carmen. 5 Tangos, set to music by Astor Piazzolla, Georges Bizet, and Rodion Shchedrin, 2013);

Signora Montecchi (in Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev, 2014);

a Mountain Girl (in Peer Gynt by Edvard Grieg, 2016), and others.
