Vasily Alexandrov

Vasily Alexandrov (9th of January 1867, Courland Governorate, Russian Empire – 1st of August 1948, Riga, Latvian SSR) – an elementary school teacher.

In 1885, he graduated from the Baltic Teachers’ Seminary in Riga, receiving the title of elementary school teacher. From 1885 to 1894, he had been working at the Lazdona Theological School, from 1894 to 1909 at the Riga All Saints’ Theological School, and from 1907 to 1919 at the Alexandrov School of the Riga Russian Charitable Society.

Starting on June 1, 1920, he had worked as a teacher at Riga 1st Russian Elementary School (20 Sadovnikova Street).

He continued to work in the early 1930s, despite having reached the maximum age.

In 1929, he was awarded the Order of the Three Stars, 5th Class.

He was married and had a son, Vasily Alexandrov (born December 5, 1890, in Riga).
