Leonid Beresnev

Leonid Beresnev (1958, Kirovo-Chepetsk, Russian SFSR) – famous Latvian hockey player and coach.

L. Beresnev  was born on 6th Yuly 1958 in Russia. From 1978 to 1987 played for the team "Dimamo" Riga. His career of trainer bagan at the beginning of the 1990-ies. He was a leader of different teams playing in Latvian championships on hockey "Junior/Essamika". For some time headed rhe Russian club "Amur" in Khabarovsk. In 1996-1999, 2004-2006 headed Latvian national hockey team and lead the Latvian team to success. After some failures oh his team L. Beresnev resigned. At present he continues to work as hockey trainer in clubs.
