Mikhail Bombin
Mikhail Bombin (15th of November 1951, Riga, Latvian SSR – 13th of July 2011, Riga, Republic of Latvia) – a correspondent of the radio «Svoboda» in Riga. Since 1988 he had cooperated with democratic press in the Soviet Union and had sent his reports to Munich and Prague. M. Bombin was declared as a dissident and was prosecuted.
He became very popular as a democratic journalist (a free-thinker). He was working at the radio «Svoboda» as a correspondent in Riga and was highly esteemed by his colleagues for his progressive views and struggle for human rights.
