L.Kalna. The wooden church

21 Liela Kalna Street. - In 1882 because of the construction of the new St. Johann the Baptist Church the previous wooden building of the church was dismantled and moved to the Johann cemetery, where it was consecrated as the Church of Our Lady of Kazan. Services in this church were conducted until 1964. In 1970 the building passed to the Latvian Catholic Church, but in 2003 it was returned to the Orthodox community.
