Exhibition «Legal expert Pyotr Jacobi and his family»
From 5 June to 10 September 2014 in Moscow at the Solzhenitsyn House of the Russian Foreign Diaspora was hela an exhibition «Legal expert Pyotr Jacobi and his family». P.Jacobi lived and frutfully worked in Riga for the last 20 years of his life. The exhibition was attached to the addition of P.Jacobi granddaughter`s Ludmila Obolenskaya-Flam book «Legal expert Pyotr Jacobi and his family. memories» (Moscow, Russkiy put, 2014). L.Obolenskaya-Flam (USA) - chairperson of the Committee «Books for Russia», journalist, writer and public figure.

Political Challenges for Russian Minority of Latvia
Citizenship, usage of mother tongue and ethnic-based discrimination are the main acute problems for Latvia’s Russian minority. At present, one half of the Russian-speaking community of Latvia are Latvian citizens, while those belonging to the other half do not have citizenship of any country in the world. Since 2004 I have been an MEP, elected mostly by the votes of the Russian minority of the Republic of Latvia. At my request, over the period 2007-2008 a team of professional historians and journalists prepared a review exhibition on the history and present day realities of the Latvian Russian community. >>
