Ceremony of laying the foundation of the Church of the Kazan Mother of God in Jūrmala
On 28th of July 2013 with the participation of Alexander, the metropolitan of Riga and the whole Latvia, and Alexander, the bishop of Daugavpils and Rezekne, Riga and Jurmala clergy together with a large number of believers participated in the solemn ceremony of laying the foundation of the Orthodox church in Dzintari (Jurmala). The original church was destroyed by godless authorities in 1962.
