Alexander Labutin (1880, Riga, Russian Emoire – 1970, Swiss Confederation) – from 1920 read  lectures on technical mechanics, descriptive geometry and construction statics at the University of Latvia.

At the same time working in practical engineering. Left Latvia in 1944 and spent the last years of his life in Switzerland.
