Vladimir Bukovsky

Vladimir Bukovsky (1867, Petersburg, Russian Empire – 1937, Riga, Republic of Latvia) – professor, participant of the development of the Articles of Association of Civil law, adopted in 1937.

V. Bukovsky graduated from Petersburg University with the a degree of law. A young lawyer worked in Petersburg Court Chambers and Civil Department. In 1902 he was appointed a member of Mitau (Jelgava) Regional Court, later was promoted to the position of a member of Riga Regional Court till evacuation from Riga during the 1-st World War. In indeprndent Latvia V.Bukovsky was invited to work in the Committee at the Ministry of Justice to work out of the Articles of Association of Civil law, adopted in 1937.

V. Bukovsky defended а thesis for doctors degree in the field of law in 1931.

In 1934 V. Bukovsky was elected as member of the Civil departament of the Senate.
