Svetlana Anikevich
Svetlana Anikevich (née Senkova; 12th of December 1954, Riga, Latvian SSR) – a ballerina, a choreographer, and a teacher. From 1974 to 1993, she had been a soloist of the Riga State Operetta Theatre.
In 1974, Svetlana Senkova-Anikevich graduated from the Riga Choreography School (RCS; since 2020 – the Riga Ballet School).
At the RCS, she studied under such distinguished ballet teachers as Marina Sizova, Inna Anna Baranovsky, and Valerija Kutena.
From 1974 to 1993, for nineteen years, ballerina Svetlana Anikevich had been a soloist of the ballet company of the Riga State Operetta Theatre. From 1993 to 1995, she had been working as a ballet coach at the same theatre, which, from 1992 until its closure, was known as the Riga Musical Theatre.
Alongside her stage career, Svetlana Anikevich studied at the Choreography Department of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music under Professor Juris Kapralis. In 1993, she graduated from the Academy with a Bachelor’s degree in Ballet Pedagogy and Choreography.

the musical comedy Svētki daudzskaitlī (Festival in the Plural) by Uldis Stabulnieks (1985, directed by Jānis Cekuls);

the musical fairy tale Cinderella to the music of Antonio Spadavecchia (Russian version – 1990; Latvian version – 1991, directed by I. Svetlov).
In 2004, Svetlana Anikevich obtained a diploma from the University of Latvia, qualifying her as a preschool education teacher. From 2000 to 2014, she had been working as a teacher and coach for the children’s folk dance ensemble “Dzīpariņš”. From 2002 to 2018, she had been serving as a dance teacher at the preschool educational institution “Saulīte.”
