Alexandra Fyodorova

Alexandra Fyodorova (1884, St. Petersburg, Russian Empire – 1972, Ridgewood, New Jersey, USA) – former soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre. In 1925 came to Riga as a new ballet-master and prima-ballerina. As a ballet-master she worked 8 seasons. In a short time she managed to raise Latvian ballet to a European level. From  her ballet studio came many ballet  dancers who  became famous in the future. In 1937 A. Fyodorova moved to the USA, where she ran a ballet studio for many years.

Alexandra Fyodorova  has died on August 20, 1972 in the  New Jersey, USA.
