Leonid Beresnev

Leonid Beresnev (6th of July 1958, Kirovo-Chepetsk, Russian SFSR) – a famous Latvian hockey player and coach.

Leonid Beresnev was born on 6th of July 1958 in Russia. From 1978 to 1987 he had been playing for the team "Dimamo" Riga. His career of trainer started at the beginning of 1990s. He was a leader of different teams, which were playing in Latvian championships on hockey "Junior/Essamika". For some time he headed a Russian club "Amur" in Khabarovsk. In 1996–1999, 2004–2006 he had been heading Latvian national hockey team and lead it to success. After some failures oh his team L. Beresnev resigned. Nowadays he works as a hockey trainer in different clubs.
