Larisa Belova

Larisa Belova (26th of November 1926, Leningrad, Russian SFSR – 20th of March 2005, Riga, Republic of Latvia) – a lawyer.

Larisa Belova was born in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) into a family of office employees.

From 1940 Larisa lived with her sister in Vyborg in the Leningrad region. After the Nazi German attack on the USSR, she was evacuated to Kustanai, Kazakhstan (since 1997 – Kostanay). In 1942 she finished school and then worked at a factory. From July 1944 she worked as a mechanic at the Pyatiletka factory in Leningrad, and from 1946 as a senior timekeeper at a factory in Vyborg.

In 1947 Larisa Belova moved to Riga. After graduating from Riga Secondary School No. 25, she began studying law at Latvian State University, graduating in 1953.

From 5 August 1953 she was a trainee at the 4th Riga Legal Consultation Office, and from 1 February 1954 worked there as an attorney. On 22 November 1983 she was removed from the bar due to health reasons.

Larisa Belova died in Riga on 20 March 2005.
