Valentin Bogolyubov

Valentin Bogolyubov (30th of March 1948, Liepāja, Latvian SSR) – a piano player, a trainer for vocalists, an opera producer.

Valentin Bogolyubov studied at the Emīls Dārziņš Musical School in the class of choir conducting, then piano. He demonstrated great abilities for music and entered Latvian Conservatory in 1966, had a traineeship at Moscow Conservatory at the class of J. Flier. His qualifications were: concert performer, concert master and teacher. V. Bogolyubov had been worked for some time at the Bolshoi Theatre where he was accompanying V. Atlantov, A. Vedernikov etc. as a pianist soloist.

He had been working at the Latvian National Opera for 15 years as a conductor and also was staging plays and operas.

Since 1995 he has been living in Canada.
