Boris Engelhardt

Boris Engelhardt (1877, Russian Empire –1962, Riga, Latvian SSR) – former member of the Russian State Duma (First Russian parliament), commandant of Petrograd during the February Revolution in 1917, writer. Colonel in the Tsarist army. Former member of the Russian State Duma (First Russian parliament), commandant of Petrograd during the February Revolution in 1917, then participated in the White movement. Having emigrated, took up writing literature, mainly memoirs. Suffered repression by the Soviet authorities. Survived and returned to Riga.
